IMUS
From memory there is a verse in Isaiah that has bearing on the racist hullabaloo over the remarks of Don Imus a well known broadcaster, iconoclast on MSNBC & CBS.
It is, "As for my people children shall be their OPPRESSORS and WOMEN shall bear rule over them."
The iron clad guarantee that our wise founding fathers put in the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of "Freedom of Speech" has become a national joke.
In the name of Anti-Racism the absurdity of Political Correctness is destroying en mass the freedoms of all Americans and that means ALL.
In the name of Anti-Racism everytime I take an errand trip in my city I am subjected to Loud, Ear Shattering Obscenities laughably called music and culture saying far worse things about the same people as to make what Imus said as being mild indeed. It appears the freedom of speech over the airways is intact for some people and not for others.
I despair for the future of Freedom in my country.
Racism will always be with us as long as some people are so intent on making everyone else conform to their own ideology and do so in the name of Freedom and purporting to be anti-racist.
As the old folk songs says, "When will they ever learn?"
It appears Never.
