Politics:

Dwight David Eisenhour was one of three genuinely good Republican Presidents in the last 106 years. The other two were Theodore Roosevelt and Gerald Ford. And, No, No, No I do not include Ronald Reagan for these reasons.
1. He made a deal with the Iranian Religious Tyrants who held American citizens hostage in 1980 simply in his own self interest and against the National Interest and President Carter just to win the Presidency.
2. He blindly allowed Criminal Acts by right wing fanatics in his name to sell Military Arms to Iran and to Aid the right wing elements in Central America.
3. He provided Military training and Military Arms to Sadamm Hussein and Iraq in their War with Iran.

The above 3 acts led directly to the turmoil we have today with Iraq and Iran and by extension to the fascist atmosphere which led to the diasterous elections of the two Bushes as Presidents.

Dwight David Eisenhour wrote: "Politics ought to be the part time profession or Every American Citizen who would protect their rights and priveleges as a free people and who would preserve what is good and fruitful in our National Heritage."

There has never been a time in the whole of American History when this is more true and more needed. The Age of Bush the Lesser has proven this beyond any doubt.

I hope in the election of 2008 when the long suffering American people have a chance to return our country to it's natural heritage everyone will make politics their part time profession and take our country back from the Bush Cheny Rove Falwell, Robertson crowd who are ruining it.
