War On Terror

I believe the real War on Terror began on June 6, 1968 when the best candidate for the office of President who ever ran in my lifetime was shot to death and assassinated by a Palestinian Arab named Sirhan Sirhan the cold blooded murderer of Bobby Kennedy.

The War on Terror has a very simple and easily understood genesis in Religious Hatred between the three branches of the Abrahamic Religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It is a fracticidal, suicidal attack on the very lives of all human beings on this planet perpetuated by Religious Fanatics with delusions of Messianic ferver involving all three religions. In the case of the Jews and Arabs it is a War between Semitic brothers who share the identical DNA the understanding of which is beyond comprehension.

The possibility of current beliefs irrational beyond all scientific reason in the gods the ancestors of all these religions created and their perceived differences destroying all life on earth is a frightening possibility.

I was watching a CNN special on Osama Ben Laden and was struck by the identical belief systems between him and the Christian Right and our Incompetent President George Dubya Bush. It is obvious to any intelligent mind that these folks are blood brothers in belief only giving different names to their gods coupled with a primitive nationalism that put them in deadly conflict with one another which boils down to what comedian George Carlin so accuately calls men with penis envy trying to prove that their sexual organs are the biggest and their gods better than one another's by Murdering Everyone and threatening the existance of all humankind.

We live in the 21st century and are ruled by leaders remaining unevolved, primitive and stuck it seems in the mythology of wandering Semitic tribes in ancient Mesopotamia 3000 to 4000 years ago.

This is the real TERROR. This is the real War. It is a War we must all fight against to prevent 3 of the similar world religions from being the end of all life on this planet.

That can only in the end be accomplished by believing in and practicing the great Laws of Love taught by the Creator in all these religions which are to Love the Creator and Love your fellow man as yourself and "Do Not Do Unto Another, What You Would Not Have Done Unto Yourself."

The question is will humanity choose Life or Death by either choosing to live by these universal religious laws or Death by ignoring them.

That is unknown. I pray God our species chooses Life.
