The Diatonic Scale and the Spiritual Basis of Music
It is my belief that the diatonic scale is a pure application in sound vibrations of eternal Cosmic Laws. The diatonic scale is characterized by 2 whole tones intervals (C D E) followed by a semitone (E F) then three whole tones (F G A B) and if you include resolving the octave another interval to (B C) a final semitone using the C scale.
All human cycles operate in the same manner with the wonderful ease of the whole tones and the conflict and difficulty of the semitones. The semitones bring a cycle in human history future generations shake their heads asking how could our ancestors be so primitive and unaware.
A good example would be the abberation of the Third Reich in Germany in the 1930 and our current first decade of the 21st Century with George dubya Bush in the United States and the use of the conflict of the 9-11 WTC attacks by religious fanatics of one Abrahamic religion (Islam) against the other two(Christianity and Judaism). Resulting in the constant mantra of Fear on a paranoid level.
But, the conflict will resolve when the scale starts over and the tranquil seas of the whole note intervals resume their right place and once again balance the Harmonies of Heaven on Earth.
