YELLOW BELLY DEMOCRATS

I am furious at Harold Ford of Tennesee for his completely disgusting betrayal of Democratic principles. Why isn't this man running as a Republican?

In a news conference Mr. Ford said he understood John Kerry was talking about President Bush and not the American Troops in Iraq being under educated. Then, with a straight face demands Kerry apologize for something he didn't say. Such is his lust for power and willingness to bend to the winds of popular misconception. The Democratic party and the good state of Tennesee can do well without such willy nilly politicians.

It is said that Mr. Ford has the 10 Commandments on the back of his business cards. Perhaps he should read them especially the one that says, "Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness."

Mr. Ford says he is a Christian. That's fine if only he would practice Christianity and what is distinctive about being a member of the dominant religion in the United States. Mr. Ford says he likes girls, Well almost all males with the exception of 3-10% on the gay male population likes girls too so what is distinctive about that. Mr. Ford says he likes Football, for heavens sake many Americans do and what is distinctive about that. Is the Democratic Party so lacking in men of character that this common denominator protesting he is just like everyone else the best we can do?

Mr. Bush despite all his flaws (and they are legion) is at least LOYAL. We could use a bit of Loyality in Mr. Ford.

I don't live in Tennesee but if I did I would simply not vote for this candidate. I certainly wouldn't vote for Mr. Corker the Republican but I could not in good faith vote for Mr. Ford and I don't think the good people of Tennesee will either.

What a shame that this could cost the Democrats a majority in the Senate.

Principle matter Mr. Ford.
