ON RELIGION

Religion is tearing the planet earth and it's human inhabitants apart blindly heading into total destruction of the one and only home all living things have.

There is a verse in the book of Judges in the Old Testament where Joshua in showing the people's of Israel the land of conquered Canaan told them quite simply they had a choice of Life or Death and urged the Israelites to choose Life. That choice is still before us and it fearfully looks that humans especially those who claim to be the most religious or God Fearing are actually choosing Death.

Now, I don't have a Phd. in Theology but the Christian Bible has always been around for me to read and I've always read it by choice. After all the book has all kinds of wonderful stories of adventure, poetry and the diversity of humanity in it and furthermore the grown ups didn't ban it and actually encouraged you to read it. I found that heavenly.

As I see it the Bible is simply the story of an ancient Iraqi (Mesopotamian) named Abraham who left with his family to find a new home in what we know today as Palestine/Israel. The whole book revolves around the history of this man and his descendents through his sons Isaac and Isaac's son Jacob whose name was changed to Israel after he wrestled with the angel of the Lord.

Israel had 12 sons from one of which the priestly tribe of Levi (Moses/Aaron) came and two of Josephs sons Manassah and Ephraim in Egypt comprising the 12 tribes of Israel. Israel was an united kingdom under Saul, David and Solomon. The nation divided into the much larger Kingdom of Israel composed of 10 tribes led by Josephs descendents, Ephraim and Manassah. It was the northern Kingdom of Israel. The very much smaller southern kingdom was composed of the Tribe of Judah (the Jews) along with the descendents of Joseph's blood brother Benjamin. Both kingdoms had Levites serving as priests from the tribe of Levi.

Bear with me, because in this story lies the whole understanding of today's involvement of Counterfeit Christians in Politics in the United States.

Most of the descendents of Israel were captured and physically removed from their land of Israel by the nation of Assyria in 712 B.C. Assyria was located in what is now northern Kurdish Iraq.

A very small portion of the population of the whole nation of Israel the descendents of Jacob/Israel the Jews (Judah and Benjamin) were conquered and removed from Palestine over a century after the destruction of Israel by Babylon in 586 B.C.

All the current problems in the Mid East and in the Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam are directly affected and understood by this history.

You see, Abraham had another son named Ishmael who was the ancestors of todays Arab nations. The remnant of Israel the Jews and the Arabs who are 100% DNA/Blood Brothers have been and are fighting over this family relationship ever since. Perhaps they just need their father's love. The relationship turned into todays current hatred and religious fanaticism. The Arabs having created their own religion based on Judaism and the Chistians of course on Judaism also from the Jew Jesus Christ. Why Christians have always been Anti-Semitic (anti Jewish) has always defied all comprehension since their founder was a Jew. The claim is that Jews killed a Jew who was the Lord and Saviour and therefore we should hate Jews. As I said, beyond comprehension.

The nations of Israel and Judah were repeatedly told in many many places in their history book the Christian Holy Bible that if they kept the commandments in their hearts and lives their nations would prosper and last forever. If they didn't keep those commandments in their hearts and lives their nations would be destroyed.

We know these commandments as the 10 Commandments found in 4 places in various forms in the Old Testament. Moses bought them down from Mt. Sinai on tablets of stone which he broke when he observed the people breaking all of them by worshiping and idol (golden calf). But, these commandments were ancient in Semitic cultures all over the mid East and nothing new but well known by the Israelites.

Today in the United States people with small mean minds, anti-Christ feelings, and self righteous false pride parade these commandments all over the place loudly proclaiming their support for them and demanding they be placed in great idols of stone in Court Houses, Schools and Public Buildings. Yet almost every action and belief system in their public and private lives are even louder in proclaiming their disobedience too and the actual keeping of these wonderful laws of God's Love and Life.

I'll give a personal examination of each and every one of these God Given laws of life and love in future postings. Suffice it to say here and now they are in the hearts and minds of human beings in action not on cold stone.
