The Amish: A Rare Example of Genuine Christianity

Comparing the Amish to most other "Christian" organizations leaves one with a glaring realization. These people really practice Christianity, that is they live their lives by the teachings of Jesus Christ as found in the New Testament. For instance they believe that when Jesus said to forgive your enemies he really really did mean it. That's what they do, they Forgive their enemies.
They have forgiven, really and truly forgiven the murderer of their children and his family even inviting the family to the funerals of these poor children and even helping the murderer's family financially.

Now compare this to Tony Perkins who said recently on the Chris Matthews show Hardball in reference to the Mark Foley case that the reason it happened is our society's belief in tolerance and diversity. Perkins heads a group which is facetiously called (something about the Family). Forgiveness: Hate: you judge.
And while we are at it perhaps Mr. Perkins needs to know that this is America a for the moment free represenative democracy and my family or anyone elses except his home is none of his damn business and is not subject to his Theocratic control.

The Amish are an example of the true spirit and teachings of Jesus Christ. The Falwells, Robinsons, Dobsons, Perkins and Reeds are not.
