I caught a snippet of the television show AFV Americas Funniest Home Videos (don't know why its not AFHV).

It showed two small girl children in a bathroom with a dead gold fish crying and praying for the gold fish. The older girl rote recited the most well known verse in the Christian New Testament John 3:16 which is "For God so loved the world that he gave his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON that whomsoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life."

All Christians know this verse yet almost all don't seem to understand it or the conversation that Jesus was having with the Sanhedrin Rabbi Nicodemus. Nicodemus asked Jesus what one had to do to be born again. Jesus replied you had to be born of the spirit not flesh referring to the resurection of humans who have accepted, repented and lived Christian lives. John 3:16 plainly says that Jesus in the ONLY BORN AGAIN son of God the Father.

So what do Christians blithely claim while reciting this verse and chapter of the Apostle John the beloved. THAT THEY ARE BORN AGAIN AS FLESH AND BLOOD HUMANS.!!!

Absolutely floors me as to date I have not met any human being who was a spirit being like Jesus and our Lord hasn't yet come again to earth and there has been no ressurection yet.

Just another of one of those little differences between what the Bible says and what people claim while reciting the very words that say just the opposite.
